Neighborhood Watch & Security Committee

MISSION:   The Neighborhood Watch & Security Committee’s purpose is to develop guidelines and discuss methods of educating landowners for when and how to notify law enforcement officers.  The committee cannot act as an enforcement agency within Oakridge Ranch and possesses no powers to establish or enforce rules or regulations that are the responsibility of government officials.

This committee has responsibility for operation and methodology of entrance gates into Oakridge Ranch.  A phone number is posted at each gate to call when in need of assistance.

Contact Deanna Jeske if you are in need of a remote clicker.

Please be aware of the posted speed limit of 35mph on Oakridge Road. Unpaved roads should be traveled at slower speed to help preserve the road.

Colorado County Sheriff’s Office administration (“non-emergency”) phone number is 979-732-2388.   For all emergencies, call 911.  County dispatch will get help to you as they determine your need, either the Sheriff’s office, First Responders or Fire Department.

The Colorado County Sheriff’s Office has enacted the CodeRed Public Emergency Notification System. This system will be used by the Sheriff’s Office to inform our citizens in the event of an emergency.   This system allows the Sheriff’s Office to reach out to the citizens of Colorado County to give information regarding evacuations, natural disasters, and other incidents requiring notification for personal safety.  Citizens can register to receive notification by phone, email, and text by going to the CodeRed or Colorado County websites listed below.   If you do not have internet access, you can call the Sheriff’s Office Communications Center at 979-732-2388 (option 2) for registration.

If you notice any suspicious activity anywhere on Oakridge Ranch, please call the Sheriff’s office, as well as notifying your Section Captain for Neighborhood Watch.  DO NOT try to deal with the issue yourself.
